I love my children!

I'll get to the Christmas blog later.  The videos are on one computer and the pictures are on another.  That makes for a little procrastination.

We all have colds.  I've finally succumbed.  I hate being sick.  Thankfully, I hardly ever get sick.  But, when I do I feel like I'm dying.  So this morning I didn't want to get out of bed.  Thankfully, Crimson and Eliana fell asleep a little after joining me in bed.  Simeon didn't.  At first he just laid there, but when he discovered that I was awake he thought it was time to play.  He's so cute.  He told me that today we are going to have a big party for me.  But, then he said it was for everyone and that we need to go to the store for some candy.
I got up from the bed and when I came back he had taken my spot, right between the girls.  He told me, "Mommy, I'm laying with your children."  I love that kid.
He likes to watch movies.  So I put Finding Nemo on for them while I got some more rest.  They were occupied for a little while.  Except for Eliana.  Simeon kept pushing her away because she kept pausing the movie.  After a while Crimson decided to find something else to do so she wandered off.  Eliana was getting sleepy so I went to put her in her bed.  That's when I saw that Crimson had lined some shoes up by the stairs and was stuffing socks in them.  I opened the door to see her getting more shoes.  But, that's not the funny part.  The funny part was that she had put a pair of Simeon's underwear on over her pull-up, on backwards.  We are supposed to start potty training today, but, it won't be with Bubba's underwear.
Eliana's a funny little critter.  To put her to bed we have to lay her on her stomach.  Then with one hand on her back to keep her in place we have to pull her legs straight so that she's not on her knees.  Still holding her down we then reach for the blanket to cover her up.  Usually, if she's tired enough, she will stay in place and go to sleep.  If she's not tired enough then we have to repeat that little routine several times before she falls asleep, on the other side of the crib on top of her blanket.  The other day I took Simeon and Crimson upstairs to get ready to go somewhere.  Eliana didn't know that Daddy was still in the room with her.  So she crawled over to the stairs, crying the whole way.  She tried climbing them, but didn't even make it onto the first step.

We went to Wal-Mart the other night and made the mistake of going to the Christmas clearance section.  They have toys there.  Simeon picked out five things before I told him he could only have one.  At first he settled on a laser gun that would drive me nuts.  My wonderful Mr.Man said, "No, I think that's too loud", and put it down.  We saw a package of nine airplanes for $2.50.  I convinced Jarrod of getting them for next Christmas.  Simeon found out and now won't leave me alone about them.  When I tell them they are for Chrismas he tells me, "I don't like Christmas."  So now I tell him that I will talk to Daddy about it.  Usually that ends the conversation, but now he's telling me, "Daddy said yes."

Simeon just told me, "Mommy, now we don't have a cat."
"We don't have a cat?"
"No."
"Where is he?"
He points at Eliana's carseat.  "He's in there."
I lift up the carseat and see Spatz laying there.  He looks at me with this look that says, "What?"  So I put the carseat back down.

Every day is an adventure.  Some are good and some are bad, but they are all exciting.
